Doha

Doha is the capital of Qatar, located on the Persian Gulf. The skyline of this city of 520,000 residents features high rises and skyscrapers. The Doha Corniche waterfront promenade, surrounded by many small parks, runs about six kilometres along the semi-circular shaped bay.

There are over 700 mosques in Doha, including the largest mosque in Qatar, with several domes, and the Abu-Bakir-al-Siddiq mosque. The National Museum and the Museum of Islamic Arts offer interesting exhibitions with changing themes.
