No visit to Düsseldorf would be complete without a visit to a brewery – and “Füchschen” (Ratinger Straße 28) brews a beer that ranks amongst one of the very best traditional dark beers of this region. The food is plain and inexpensive. Füchsen is a real Düsseldorf institution, so don’t miss it. If the weather is good, however, I would also recommend a picnic on the banks of the Rhine to watch the sunset.
