The state of Goa is located on the west coast of the Indian subcontinent. Some of India's most beautiful beaches are found along the 100 kilometers of this palm studded coast. The best time to visit Goa is from November to March when the monsoon season is over and winter has taken over Europe.
The cultural influence of European colonial power is still present in Goa in a manner not seen in many other Indian states. The traces of 450 years of Portuguese colonial rule can still be seen everywhere today.
