Minorca is the second largest Balearic island after Mallorca. The 120 kilometres of coastline offers great variety. In the north you will find steep cliffs and a few natural harbours. In the south are clean sand beaches and secluded bays with crystal clear water. In 1993, the island was declared a biosphere reserve. Today nearly half of the island is part of a natural conservation area.
