In the Albrecht Dürer House, where this famous artist (1471-1528) lived and worked, visitors get a fascinating glimpse of what painters’ and printing workshops were like during this age. Artistic techniques are also demonstrated. And guiding you on your tour is the lady of the house herself: over headphones, “Agnes Dürer” tells visitors about everyday life in an artistic household - in five languages. And, in December, the “Christkindlmarkt”, Nuremberg’s famous Christmas market, is a must: sample the city’s famous Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and delicious small grilled sausages or Bratwürstchen.
