For the status bluemiles you still have at midnight on 24.10.2009 you will be given the equivalent value of topbonus status miles. To get the miles transferred you must first register on our website.

Two status bluemiles are equivalent in value to one topbonus status mile, which means the number of bluemiles you have will be halved when they are transferred. As you will realise the actual value of the status miles will nevertheless remain the same after the conversion.

Some examples of how the transfer will work:
• 15,000 bluemiles are equivalent to 7,500 topbonus miles (e.g. German domestic award flight)
• 20,000 bluemiles are equivalent to 10,000 topbonus miles (e.g. award flight Germany-Italy)
• 30,000 bluemiles are equivalent to 15,000 topbonus miles (e.g. award flight Germany-
   Canary Islands).

Status miles are valid for 12 months in both programmes. When bluemiles are transferred the date they were earned is noted and the miles are then saved referred to the month.

If you are already a member of topbonus the converted status miles will be credited to your topbonus account and will accordingly increase the number of topbonus miles you have.
• To gain a topbonus Card Silver you need 20,000 topbonus status miles → 40,000 bluemiles
   status miles or 24 flights (within 12 months).
• To gain a topbonus Card Gold you need 40,000 topbonus status miles → 80,000 bluemiles
   status miles (within 12 months).

When you register for your miles to be transferred we will inform topbonus of the number of status miles you currently have and the number of flights you have booked within the past 12 months. This will enable airberlin to work out the topbonus status card you are entitled to; this is particularly significant if the merger of the two status mile accounts at topbonus pushes you up into the next card category. The topbonus card will be sent to you by post within two weeks of you completing registration for the transfer of the miles from bluemiles to topbonus.

Please be aware that for technical reasons the transfer may in fact take a few days.

If you want to transfer your remaining bluemiles on 25.10.2009 to topbonus you must register on our website.

To transfer your bluemiles to topbonus, airberlin’s frequent flyer programme, first into bluemiles. Select the menu option "My miles" and there click on the option "Transferring miles to topbonus".

If you are not a member of topbonus, you will be redirected from our website to the registration page of topbonus, where you can register to become a member of topbonus. Of course, if you are already a member of topbonus you do not have to do this. When registering, make sure that your contact details at TUIfly bluemiles are the same as those you give or have given at airberlin topbonus. This will ensure that the transfer of your miles goes off smoothly.

Any remaining and valid bluemiles as at midnight on 24.10.2009 will be transferred to topbonus, provided you have previously registered to have this done. Please be aware that for technical reasons the transfer may in fact take a few days.

The transfer to your topbonus account of your remaining and valid premium and status bluemiles as at 24.10.2009 will start on 25.10.2009. Please be aware that for technical reasons the transfer may in fact take a few days.

If you are already a member of topbonus and if as a result of the merger of the two status mile accounts you become entitled to a new higher status according to the topbonus conditions, then airberlin will give you either a topbonus Card Silver or a topbonus Card Gold, whatever is appropriate.

Crediting miles retroactively is possible according to our bluemiles conditions up to a maximum of three months after the date they were earned.

Premium and status bluemiles that are earned before 24.10.2009 but have not been put into the system by the cut-off date can be credited as bluemiles retroactively up to 31.01.2010 (online or by phone) and subsequently transferred to the topbonus programme based on the conversion factor.

The above ruling, however, does not apply to partner miles about which our partner has not informed us. Such miles can be credited even after 31.01.2010. Miles earned from any of your online shopping activities are generally on your account and available as premium miles only after about 6 weeks. Online shopping premium miles which are not available on 24.10.2009 and which become available as premium miles at a later date will be transferred to topbonus after the conversion date based on the conversion factor.

You can book your award flights up to 24.10.2009 as usual through the TUIfly Service Centre by phoning 0049 (0) 1805 - 45 22 45 (€ 0.14 /min from land lines of Dt. Telekom, mobile phone rates may vary).

You can redeem your bluemiles for award flights that are operated by TUIfly up to a departure date of 24.10.2009. The bluemiles conversion table applies.

If you decide to transfer your bluemiles Bonus and Status Miles you are entitled prior to 25 October 2009 to use bluemiles Bonus Flights to book airberlin Bonus Flights having a departure date from and including 25 October 2009 on former TUIfly flight routes (including inner German flights and flights to Austria and Italy). This only applies to those flight routes published in the current bluemiles Bonus Tables.

The number of miles needed to book a flight before 25.10.2009 is that given in the bluemiles conditions and route network (short haul: 15,000 miles, medium haul: 20,000 miles, long haul: 40,000 miles). Taxes, passenger related fees and any fuel surcharges are charged according to the airberlin rates valid at the time of booking. Make your booking as usual through the TUIfly Service Centre by phoning 0049 (0) 1805 - 45 22 45 (€ 0.14 /min from land lines of Dt. Telekom, mobile phone rates may vary).

If you have agreed to have your bluemiles transferred to topbonus, then bookings made on or after 25.10.2009 for award flights with a departure date on or after 25.10.2009 are subject exclusively to the airberlin route network and the corresponding.

You can book these award flights online on the website airberlin.com/topbonus.

If you don't want to convert your bluemiles into topbonus miles then your  bonus miles will be valid until midnight on 30.04.2010, provided they don't expire beforehand. You can redeem your bluemiles for a TUIfly award flight listed in the bonus table subject to the bluemiles conditions.

With your existing topbonus card or with the one acquired by registering to have your bluemiles transferred, you acquire miles only from the airberlin frequent flyer programme. Please present your bluemiles card when flying with TUIfly up to and including 24.10.2009.

You cannot acquire any topbonus miles from airberlin with your bluemiles card. The card is valid only for collecting miles within the bluemiles customer loyalty programme. bluemiles will be closed down as of 24.10.2009 and bluemiles cards will cease to be valid on this date. Please present your topbonus card when flying with airberlin.

After bluemiles finishes you will continue to be a member of "My TUIfly".
