You are kindly requested to accompany your child to the check-in desk and present the necessary documents (booking confirmation, child’s ID document). Together with the check-in employee, you then complete a “name tag” which states the child’s name, flight destination, native language and the name of the person who will collect the child. Please do not leave the airport until the plane has taken off.
An employee will accompany the child from the check-in desk to the departure lounge, and later from there onto the aircraft. Your child will be seated in one of the front rows so that our flight attendants can always keep an eye on the child and are available promptly to answer any questions.
At the destination airport, an employee will again meet your child on board the plane and accompany it to baggage reclaim. Your child will then be accompanied by that employee to the person you have designated to collect the child, who is obliged to present proof of identity.
Vouchers for TUIfly flights can only be booked on the Internet. In the “Booking” section, click the item “Flight Voucher” and complete the form there. Please read the general terms and conditions that apply to TUIfly vouchers.
All flight vouchers issued by HLX up to 15 January 2007 can, of course, also be used for TUIfly.com flights. This applies both to vouchers which were won as competition prizes as well as gift vouchers purchased on the Internet at www.hlx.com.

Please note that these vouchers are only valid on certain routes and cannot be redeemed for flights to the following destinations: Morocco, the Balearic Islands, the Canaries, North Africa, Greece, Middle East, Madeira and Cape Verde Islands.
All vouchers issued by Hapagfly up to 15 January 2007 can, of course, also be used to buy single seats on TUIfly.com flights. Select and book the route you require on the Internet or by phone and send us the original voucher, stating your booking number, to the address stated on the voucher. The value of the voucher will then be refunded. To redeem vouchers for a certain route, please contact the address stated on the voucher or send an e-mail to gutscheine@tuifly.com.
We accept the following means of payment: AirPlus, American Express, Eurocard/Mastercard and VISA. The value of the voucher will be charged to the credit card you state in the form. Vouchers cannot be paid for by EC card.
We will send you the ordered voucher by e-mail, attached as a PDF document which you can print.
You can redeem the voucher at any time from 24 hours up to 2 years after the date of purchase.
You can choose the flight you wish to book directly on the Internet and enter your voucher code in the payment section. The price of the flight will be reduced automatically. If you prefer to book by phone, choose the destination you wish from the flight schedule. We enable our customers to compensate for the CO2 emissions generated by their flight. For that purpose, we have joined forces with a respected and independent partner that is thoroughly familiar with all aspects of climate protection: myclimate.
This Swiss-based international initiative is one of the leading providers of compensation measures. The donations are used by myclimate for the development aid project “Low-energy cooking stoves in Debub, Eritrea, Africa”. The high energy efficiency of these stoves mean that far less wood is required as fuel than before, thus minimising the emission of waste gases. In addition to the certified CO2 reductions, the new smokeless cooking stoves also substantially improve the living conditions of the people in that region.
The calculation handled by the climate protection organisation myclimate in the course of the booking process shows our customers “their” share of the CO2 emitted by the flight. At the same time, the programme calculates the level of the climate protection charge required to compensate that share of CO2. Needless to say, this donation to climate protection schemes is entirely voluntary.

You can reserve a seat up to 48 hours before departure on payment of a non-refundable processing fee of EUR 9 (GBP 7,00/USD 14,00), either online when you book your flight or afterwards by phoning the Service Centre. Customers who book with a TUI Card/Flex-Rate can reserve a seat free of charge. On many flights, you can book an XL seat at the emergency exit for a charge of EUR 30.00 (GBP 20,00/USD 40,00) per person and flight segment. Please note that the following passengers are not permitted to sit in the row of seats at the emergency exit owing to security regulations imposed by the authorities:
- babies and children (aged 11 or under)
- passengers carrying pets in the cabin
- pregnant women
- passengers with restricted mobility owing to size, illness or age.
On reserving a seat at the emergency exit, you confirm that none of the above criteria applies to you or to any other passengers for whom you have booked. If that should be the case, we are entitled to assign the passenger(s) concerned to a different seat without refunding the reservation charges. In case of doubt, the TUIfly cabin crew is entitled to decide. Click here to see our seating plans and the technical data of our aircraft.
We welcome cats and dogs on board our aircraft but regret that we are unable to carry any other animals. Owing to the strict legal regulations in force, no pets can be carried to or from the United Kingdom, Ireland or Sweden. Animals weighing up to 5 kg can be carried in the cabin. They must be carried in a soft waterproof pet carrier which must be no larger than 45cmx35cmx20cm. Animals weighing more than 5 kg are carried in the hold.
We charge a processing fee of EUR 25.00 (GBP 20,00/USD 40,00) per animal and flight segment on international routes and EUR 29.75 on domestic routes for carriage in the cabin, and EUR 30.00 (GBP 24,00/USD 40,00) on international routes and EUR 35.70 on domestic routes for carriage in the hold. The above processing fee cannot be refunded, even if you do not actually use the service. You can register your pet when making the booking online and pay the processing fee by clicking “Additional service – Yes, I require additional services.” If you have already booked your flight, you can register your pet by calling our Service Centre.
TUIfly can transport pets only if you provide your own safe and sturdy transport container in which the animal has sufficient room to turn around and which keeps it warm. Only one animal can be carried per transport container. The animal’s head must not protrude from the transport container and the animal must not leave the container during the flight. Under no circumstances may the container be placed on a seat. TUIfly can accept no liability whatsoever for any damage to the animal’s health during the flight, i.e. the passenger assumes full responsibility for the animal. Nor is TUIfly liable for any damage to the pet resulting from an inadequate transport container.
Stricter EU regulations came into force on 1 July 2004. All animals must be fitted with a microchip and have the new, blue EU animal passport, confirming an up-to-date vaccination against rabies. The passenger is responsible for all health tests and/or certificates and for satisfying all requirements (papers) for the animal to enter the country of destination.
