Whitehorse, Yukon's capital, lies on the west bank of the Yukon River. In the city, visitors can still feel the pulse of the gold fever days, for example in the McBride Museum or in Black Mike's Gold Mines, where you can prospect for gold yourself. On the river, the paddle wheel steamer the Klondike can be visited. And the best way to travel along the Klondike Highway toward Dawson City, following the path of the gold miners, is to rent an RV.
