Your travel documents
You will receive your DB ticket together with your flight documents, according to your specification (by e-mail, as a PDF document, by fax). The tickets are only valid in connection with an TUI fly flight ticket. We reserve the right to impose a subsequent charge in the event of misuse.
Arrival by train
All Deutsche Bahn AG trains are available to you. As delays can not be entirely ruled out with public transport, you should select your connection so that you reach your departure flight not later than two hours prior to the start of your flight. Each traveller is responsible for his own punctual arrival at the airport. If a flight is missed due to the delayed arrival of a bus or train, TUI fly does not assume liability.
Change & cancellation
The Rail & Fly ticket can not be cancelled or refunded. The Rail & Fly ticket can only be rebooked within the scope of changing a flight; in the event of changing a flight, the additional service will automatically be assumed with your new flight. Previously issued tickets thereby become invalid and do not entitle you to travel.
Group travel (from 20 persons) is limited and only possible if a group reservation can be carried out within the scope of the existing group contingency of DB (the reservation obligation for groups must be complied with). Please contact your DB service counter in the train station or your travel agent with a DB agency before buying the Rail & Fly ticket from TUI fly.
Depending on the type of your DB ticket (one-way or return), you can use it on the day prior to the flight departure date, on the flight departure date itself and on the day of return, as well as on the following day. The maximum permitted time period between the inward and return journey is 12 months. The inward and return journey must directly take place in the direction of the travel destination/airport. The departure and arrival airport do not need to be the same. The ticket is valid for travel within Germany on all Deutschen Bahn AG trains (InterCityExpress, InterCity, EuroCity, InterRegio) in the selected class. IC-, EC-surcharges and ICE additional prices are already included. A surcharge must be paid for the use of the ICE-Sprinter. The reservation fee for the ICE-Sprinter is included in this surcharge. The tickets are not valid on car trains, special trains and on the Thalys. In DB night trains and in the CityNightLine, sleeping car places can be used subject to availability and against a surcharge.
The tickets are only valid in connection with an TUI fly flight booking, with the exclusion of all German domestic flights. For flight departures from Basel, the journeys with Deutsche Bahn AG to Basel main station are included.
If your travel destination lies within the following public transport associations, you can travel directly to your final destination from the airport with Deutsche Bahn The same applies to return journeys from your destination back to the TUI fly airport.
